Tradition & Progression
Chief Instructor, Master Chaz Siangco, has methodically blended and molded his traditional background of Pedoy’s Derobio Eskrima to a seamless progression of his foundation with his many years of cross-training with other styles and his law enforcement background. Chief’s A.R.M Program (Accelerated Response Movement) is a culmination of this progression. Deconstructing the traditional to meet today’s dynamic threats and needs of his students in law enforcement, the military, or the everyday civilian.

Our Logo, What does it mean?
The two horses represent the literal meaning of Derobio, “Rhythm of the Horse.” They also symbolize the duality of a warrior: the Right Horse - the aggressive nature of combat, to overcome your adversary at all costs to SURVIVE…Left Horse – the compassion of ones heart to COUNTER ego or hatred, to not let them dictate the outcome of an encounter and lead one back to the virtues of the Eskrimador Creed.
The two crescent-shaped blades known as the Garab or Talibong, the very tools of combat used by the Pulahan Warriors of Leyte, guide the two horses to a balanced mindset of a true warrior. The blades meet at the center in which anchors the triangles depicting the Philippine National Flag.
The flag is represented as 4 blended triangles that display the basic foundation of the combative footwork of Pulahan-Derobio Eskrima: Footwork Diagram. The triangles also hold the Baybayin script of Pulahan (Blue Triangle) Derobio (Red Triangle) Eskrima (White Triangle). In the center yellow triangle, a silhouette of Master Chaz Siangco is saluting our 4 main influences: GGM Braulio PEDOY, Batikan Eduardo PEDOY, GM Julian GENERALAO and Grandpa Elias “BATTLING BOLO”Cantere.
The flag also symbolizes the Siangco Collective:
The stars represent the Mentor; GM Christoper Siangco , the Beacon; Senior Master Chaz Siangco and the Compass; Master Christian Siangco of the Siangco Collective.
The sun represents the teachers, the mentors, and masters that influenced the Collective.
The open "circle" outlined by our motto symbolizes the open mind and adaptive nature of the Siangco Collective and their belief to blend and adapt to all forms of combat through the guiding philosophy of Pulahan-Derobio Eskrima.
Our Motto: Never Submit - Always Adapt - Counter - Survive!
The motto "Never Submit, Always Adapt, Counter, Survive" reflects the resilient and fluid spirit of Pulahan-Derobio Eskrima, a Filipino martial art rooted in both combat effectiveness and spiritual discipline. It emphasizes an unyielding mindset: never give in to defeat, but instead adapt to any situation, counter with intelligence and precision, and ultimately endure to prevail. Each phrase captures a principle of Eskrima’s philosophy—flexibility over rigidity, awareness over aggression, and survival through mastery of both body and mind.
It mirrors the art’s lineage from the Pulahan warriors who valued not only skill in battle but also clarity, compassion, and persistence in life’s broader struggles.
